Aside from a talent for painting, Lara Winters never drew much attention. But the summer before her senior year at Rio Valle State University, she becomes the target of a race of beings called Yllime, who can manipulate matter at will. A good Yllime—Adumir—enrolls at RV State to hide Lara in plain sight and protect her from her pursuers, who have done the same thing. The game of cat and mouse unfolds in the RV State Theatre Department, where Lara faces one of the biggest challenges of her life—taking an acting class with her ex and his new girlfriend. But it is in this acting class, with the threat of her mysterious Yllime pursuers looming over her, that Lara starts to blossom and make friends, including a pretty transfer student named Elise, who has a secret of her own...
